Conflict Minerals Compliance

Laserex often receives requests from customers to confirm that our products comply with regulatory requirements related to Conflict Minerals Compliance.

Due to recent changes in legislation originating from the US, Laserex has implemented a set of procedures to verify that none of the components sourced from suppliers contain materials that originated from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

‘There are concerns that the exploitation and trade of conflict minerals by armed groups is helping to finance conflict in the DRC region and is contributing to an emergency humanitarian crisis’

In particular, this refers to the following 4 materials:

  • Gold
  • Tin
  • Tantalum
  • Tungsten

Laserex has addressed these concerns and provides detailed Conflict Minerals Compliance information to those companies wishing to do business with the organisation.
