OEM Applications

Laserex manufactured, aligned and tested a series of laser modules for use by the multinational company ABB in their FO Optics block.  As paper mills operate at extreme speeds, a rugged, reliable laser and optical solution was required by the customer.  The solution involved the precise alignment and focusing of 3 laser modules. Medical Lasers

Medical Laser

Laserex designed and developed a 3 coloured laser (red, yellow and green) for Adistem for use as an illumination device when used in stem cell therapy application.  The unit comprises red, green and yellow lasers that are used in an illumination application. All 3 lasers were aligned and positioned so that they shone simultaneously on the same area.  The unit includes a timer, key switch and emergency stop button.  This required Laserex to use its extensive design, Engineering and R&D skills to manufacture this product.

Laserex designed the P90 Laser Sight for the Belgian weapons manufacturer FN Herstal.  This laser operates either in combat or training mode and is available either in visible red or infrared wavelengths. Designing and manufacturing a range of precise, reliable custom sights Laserex is responsible for the prototyping of laser sights for military use around the world.  Laserex has recently developed the LS-900 and LS-1000 Laser Sights.

The HPFC Fiber Coupled Laser is suited to a number of industrial applications specific to delicate procedure in the cosmetic industry. This robust, mains-operated laser is also the ideal unit in procedural tissue-welding, medical laser treatment and R&D.

The LDM-10 TEC laser module is suitable for machine vision, industrial inspection, particle counting, and confocal microscopy, fluorescence, bioinstrumentation, OEM as well as R&D applications.  The LDM-10 is a highly stable, easy to use laser. The unit includes a high quality thermoelectric cooler and internal fan for maintaining the laser diode at a fixed temperature, even in demanding temperature environments. This along with using high quality anti-reflective coated optics and high speed modulation ensures that mode hopping is practically eliminated.

A compact unit with a beam that can be focused down to less than 0.5mm, this laser is ideally suited to positioning and measurement applications. With formidable beam collimation and variable focus adjustment, the LDM-1Micro Laser Diode Module can be made with either pins or with wires & is PCB mountable.  Laserex designed the LDM-1 laser module for Brooks Automation.

Laserex designed custom lens sets for use in a brake press application. Both a single and dual lens set is used in the brake press, thereby allowing a laser beam to pass through and act as a safety barrier during operation of the machine.
